My Bicycle Update

I did some more updating to my "Craigslist" bicycle. I bought the Wald 139 front basket from Amazon. On my old bike I had one those small wicker baskets and it could never hold all of my stuff. When I ride my bike, I usually bring water, speakers, Zune (yes, I still have one of these ☺️), my cell phone, and sometime my wallet. Also, if I decided to stop at the store during my travels, I could never fit any of my purchases in my basket. Well when I purchased this basket, I didn't realize the size of the basket, so when I took out of the box I was a bit surprised and thought it was way too big. I have since gotten use to it and I'm happy with the large size because I can fit all my stuff and more. The other day I went to the store and I was able to fit a 2 liter Pepsi and a gallon of Arizona ice tea and my basket was able to handle the wait. Another reason I chose this basket because it has extra support and it doesn't just have the hooks that go on the bars. Since the basket it a wire basket and I wouldn't be able to hold small items without it falling through the basket, I decided to make a custom liner. Another reason I wanted to make a custom liner was to add some more style to my bicycle. I purchased the fabric from Joann's and the fabric had all of the colors on my bike (pink, black, white, gold, and silver). I made the liner two sided and I made several pockets to hold my things. Also, the some of the pockets I have buttons and on the outside I put lace to trim the outside edge of the liner and also the pockets. Two of the larger pockets I created to hold my water bottle and larger items like my wallet. Another addition to my bicycle was that I added a Brass Crane Bell. Since I have a vintage bike, I wanted to go with the theme and I liked the antique look of this bell. Another great thing about this bell is it doesn't ring like a typical bell, so when you strike the bell it has a everlasting ding sound. I'm not sure if I talked about this in my previous post, but I bought a front light on Ebay that looks like the vintage bullet light. The light it plastic, so I hope to one day to find vintage metal bullet light. Oh and I bought a pink flower magnetic flower from Joann's to put on the front of my basket. It was advertised as a decoration for a locker, but I visioned it's use differently. One of my favorite additions and I get a lot of compliments on. That pretty much sums up my additions to my bike. The next additions I plan to add to my bike are a rear rack, rear light, and a custom license plate. Another project I plan to do next is decorate my helmet. I currently have a all white Smith Maze bicycle helmet, so I need to spice it up, so it goes better with my bike. Well I included pics of my bike below.
